With BYOx (Bring Your Own device) fully operational across all year levels at Runcorn State High School, your student has the opportunity to utilise a range of online resources, digital textbooks and interactive learning tools in the classroom, which leads to improved learning outcomes for all students.
To support students with their devices, below is some information on the process to get students on-board at the school:
- Students must complete the BYOx Acceptable Use Policy form (available from the Office, IT Support or the school website).
- Forms must be signed by parent/guardian.
- While students will have an opportunity to on-board their devices during a dedicated session in their first week back starting on Tuesday, it is strongly recommended that students this link to on-board their devices while at home using your home internet before bringing their devices to school. This process will automatically join your student's device to our school network when they first sign in while at school.
- Students can also visit IT Support before or after school, or during breaks, to have their device joined to the school network and have internet and printing access given if they are not in school during the on-boarding sessions.
If you have any queries regarding the BYOx, do not hesitate to email the IT Team at 2167_BYOx@eq.edu.au and they will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.
