Enrolments

​​​Runcorn State High School has a proud culture of high expectations and personalised learning where the individual counts. Our goal is to cater for the full range of learners, in order to achieve meaningful post-school pathways.

To enrol at Runcorn State high School parents/guardians will need to complete a Student Enrolment Application.  This application can be completed electronically or is available to download/print. Applications can also be collected from the Administration Building.  Applications can be returned via email or in person and our staff are happy to assist with photocopying documentation if required.  All applications will be considered on their own merits by the Principal.  

 

Enrolment Process – Current school year

  1. Completed the Student Enrolment Application
  2. Return the application with the required supporting documentation to the Enrolment Officer for processing.
  3. The Student Enrolment Application will be forwarded to the Principal for decision.
  4. Applicant’s will be notified of the decision.
  5. Students accepted for enrolment will be required to participate with a parent/guardian in an enrolment interview prior to starting school.

Enrolment Process – Students enrolling for Year 7

To enrol your child for Year 7  you will need to complete a Student Enrolment Application. This application can be completed electronically or is available to download/print.  Applications can also be collected from the school administration.  

Runcorn State High School offers Excellence Academies in Academia, Sport and Creative Industries known as the Horizons Program and Scholarship options are also available.  Both of these have separate applications.  We encourage you to investigate these programs and submit these applications along with your Student Enrolment Application. 

  1. Complete the Student Enrolment Application.
  2. (optional) Complete Applications for the Horizon Program and/or Scholarship.
  3. Return the application/s with the required supporting documentation to the Enrolment Officer for processing.
  4. The Student Enrolment Application will be forwarded to the Principal for decision.
    • Horizon Program Applications will be forwarded to the relevant Excellence Academy Head of Department for review and applicants will be contacted in regards to any exams, auditions or trials that need to be completed.
    • Scholarship applications will be forwarded to the Scholarship Panel for consideration. 
  5. Applicants will be notified of the decision via email.  
    • a. Horizon Program - applicants may not be notified until this process is completed.
    • b. Scholarship Applications will be notified after the closing date.
  6. Accepted students and a parent/guardian will be required to participate in an Enrolment Interview. 
  7. Accepted students and families are encouraged to attend information evenings and transition days.
