​Welcome back everyone, 2019 commences with extreme weather events.

Runcorn State High school welcomes back new and existing students with quizzes and fun activities promoting Sun Smart awareness.

Week 2, Monday 4th February, Sun safety Week is being launched, challenging us all to be proactive about our health in the moment and for the future of our skin health.
Protect your Skin:
As with every summer we need to be reminded of the  Sun Smart message of SLIP SLOP SLAP SEEK and SLIDE…Slip on clothingSlop on sunscreen preferably 30+ or 50+Slap on a hatSeek shade Slide on sunglasses
You would not be alone in thinking that sunburn causes skin cancer and premature ageing, in fact is the invisible UV (ultraviolet) radiation from the sun that is the culprit. Read more about the ‘7myths that lead to skin cancer’ UV radiation occurs in any climate, altitude, accumulates the damage to our bodies over time, affects all ages and skin types.
