Welcome back!
New School year, new term, new beginnings… New opportunities for your health. Now is a chance to get back on track and be prepared!
Look after yourself:
Self-care is especially important when you have a big demand in your life – but what does it mean?
• Healthy foods- choose nutritious foods these will help fuel your mind and body.
• Healthy drinks- water remains the best choice- either post sports, or as a drink.
• Build activities you enjoy and that bring your stress levels down into your study plan, such as sport, spending time with friends, internet, etc. Remember to get some exercise every day as this helps you to keep focused and energetic.
• Relaxation is important, especially before bed, to slow the brain activity down. Try some slow, deep breathing, a shower or a bath, herbal tea etc. Avoid screen time prior to bed to allow yourself the best opportunity for a refreshing sleep.
These will all be covered more details in future editions of the newsletters and also the weekly chats. If you need information now- please come and see me.
