Ting Tai received an OP1. This result is the third year in a row that a Runcorn State High School student has received the top result possible in Queensland.

Ting has accepted a tertiary place at the University of the Sunshine Coast as a foundation medical student.

Further, 70% of OP-eligible students received an OP1-15 and 100% of students who applied through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) to start university in February received a tertiary offer.

Eighteen students completed a school-based traineeship or apprenticeship and 56 students received a vocational qualification which included one student completing a Diploma of Business. Thirteen students completed a university subject while studying at school.

In all, 98% of the graduating class received a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

These results do not happen by chance. It is the combination of high expectations around teaching and learning, with personalised learning to track each student across their senior years that has led to these successes. We wish all our graduating students well in the coming months as they transition into the next phase of their careers.
