School Council PDF Print E-mail
The mission of Runcorn High School is to provide for all students, high quality responsive education in a caring supportive environment.

With this in mind the strategic direction of the School Council is to assist in making decisions which maximise and improve outcomes for students across all areas of learning, including academic, social, emotional, physical and ethical.

The Council aims to enhance services to students via open consultative processes to encourage participation in the governance of the school. Participation assists accountability and continuous improvement.

The School Council consists of the Principal and President of the P&C Committee who are official members, together with 2 student representatives, 3 elected staff members and 3 elected parents.

From time to time the Council may need special advice and expertise from other persons. The Council may second these persons for a specific period of time.

The Council works with the Principal to improve, advise and monitor strategic matters, to promote a socially just and cohesive learning community and to encourage a strong relationship between the school and its local community.
