An important feature of our school is the innovative unitised vertical curriculum which skilfully matches student needs to the curriculum. Students can take ownership of their own learning pathway. They can advance rapidly in areas for which they have particular aptitudes or interests or take a little longer to consolidate skills and knowledge in some subjects. This curriculum structure allows students to commence vocational studies, diversify their learning options or begin university subjects while still at school.

One of the core values of Runcorn High School is a focus on students. There are many opportunities for students to have fun, enjoy success and develop connections and meaningful relationships. We provide an excellent range of support services and a wealth of extracurricular activities across sport, arts, culture and community links. Student achievement and effort is generously acknowledged and student initiative and leadership encouraged. Runcorn High is considered a high achieving school in the area of sport with our Runcorn “Blues” teams being extremely successful in competitions.
