Learning Support Group

The Learning Support Group is staffed by Learning Support Teachers and Teacher Aides.

The role of the Learning Support Group is to assist students with learning difficulties and learning disabilities. The goals of the Learning Support Group are to:

• increase levels of learning in literacy and numeracy across the curriculum,
• increase student participation in class activities,
• assist students to improve self esteem,
• increase independence in learning,
• increase student retention levels and provide a range of options for students remaining at school,
• cater for individual needs/differences among students and
• inservice teachers to increase their skills in meeting the needs of students.
