Runcorn Secondary SEU is a team of dedicated teachers and teacher aides who collaborate with each other and other school staff to provide a diverse range of programs for students with hearing impairments (HI) or speech and language impairments (SLI). Educational settings may include mainstream classrooms, special education classrooms and work experience placements.

 |
Mainstream Classrooms · Deaf/HI and SLI students are supported in this learning environment by special education teachers and teacher aides, working collaboratively with the mainstream classroom teacher. · Support strategies may include signing, notetaking, and individualised assistance. · Special Considerations can be applied to cater for students learning needs in various subjects. For example, some students may require extra time to complete exams while others may require modified exams depending on the impact of their disability on their learning.
