From Monday 8- 10 September 2008, the Administration team will visit major local primary schools to speak to year 6 and 7 students and to distribute information about the enrolment procedures. High school staff will also visit primary schools in Term 4 to collect information about prospective students.

In October 2008 (date yet to be confirmed), groups of Year 7 students will visit Runcorn High for a full day. This will be arranged with the primary schools. Students will be introduced to the range of subjects offered at our school, especially the ones that they have not experienced at primary school.

On Tuesday 4 November 2008, a combined General Information and Curriculum Evening for parents of Year 7 students. the purpose of the evening is to provide information on a range of topics including discipline, uniforms, homework and general school expectations, and an outline of our curriculum, to answer your questions (in small group sessions) and to organise the course planning interview that all enrolling students and their parents will attend later in the year. This interview is an essential part of the enrolment process, as students entering our school have many options to consider from the beginning of Year 8. Parents are asked to meet at the Runcorn State High School Sports Centre at 7:30pm.

From Wednesday 3 - 5 December 2008, Course Planning interviews will be conducted at the school, at a time arranged between the parents and the course coordinators.
